Mythri Speaks will be working in 25 Gram Panchayats across the districts of Kolar, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru Rural (Karnataka) as a partner organization, under the initiative of Adarsh Gram Vikasa.
Adarsh Gram Vikasa is a grass-root intervention to bring about transformation at a village level, covering areas of Education, Healthcare & Environment.
To commemorate Pandit Deendhayal Upadhyay’s 100th Birth Anniversary, Adarsh Grama Vikasa, a one-of-its-kind voluntary, integrated developmental work, in 25 Gram Panchayats, for a period of one year, starting April 1st, 2017. The activities and projects undertaken will be based on the guidelines prescribed in the Prime Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana. BJP Bengaluru Rural Division has brought together various voluntary organizations and service provider to bring about holistic change in these Panchayats, of which Mythri Speaks is one. The projects that will be coordinated by Mythti Speaks include the following:

Specialist health camps such as Ophthalmology and Dental will be organized in all the Gram Panchayats. In addition, Yoga classes will be initiated as a means to work on prevention. Hospital partners include Narayana Nethralaya and Shankara Eye Hospital. Yoga will be introduced by Art of Living volunteers and Yoga Binge.
Swasth Mahila Swasth Kutumba
Awareness sessions on Menstrual and Reproductivee Health, Nutrition and Prevention of Breast & Cervical Cancer will be organized in each Panchayat. In addition, a team of local women in each Panchayat will be trained and empowered to share this information with adolescent girls in their village.
Surveys of Lakes needing restoration, sapling plantation drives and Swachh Bharat initiatives will be initiated in all the selected Gram Panchayats. These initiatives will be done in association with The Forward Foundation.
